{"id":229,"date":"2025-10-05T20:40:53","date_gmt":"2025-10-05T20:40:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/patternsinthebible.com\/?p=229"},"modified":"2025-10-08T22:22:44","modified_gmt":"2025-10-08T22:22:44","slug":"1-john-4-7-21","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/patternsinthebible.com\/?p=229","title":{"rendered":"1 John 4: 7-21"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because <mark style=\"background-color:#ffcfd2\" class=\"has-inline-color\">God is love<\/mark>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"padding-left:2em\">9 In this the <mark style=\"background-color:#cfbaf0\" class=\"has-inline-color\">love<\/mark> of God was made <mark style=\"background-color:#feeef5\" class=\"has-inline-color\">manifest<\/mark> among us,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"padding-left:4em\">that God sent his only <mark style=\"background-color:#90dbf4\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Son<\/mark> into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his <mark style=\"background-color:#90dbf4\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Son<\/mark> to be the propitiation for our sins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"padding-left:6em\">11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to <mark style=\"background-color:#b9fbc0\" class=\"has-inline-color\">love one another<\/mark>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"padding-left:8em\">12 No one has ever <mark style=\"background-color:#feeef5\" class=\"has-inline-color\">seen<\/mark> God;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"padding-left:6em\">if we <mark style=\"background-color:#b9fbc0\" class=\"has-inline-color\">love one another<\/mark>, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"padding-left:4em\">13 By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his <mark style=\"background-color:#90dbf4\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Son<\/mark> to be the Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the <mark style=\"background-color:#90dbf4\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Son<\/mark> of God, God abides in him, and he in God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"padding-left:2em\">16 So we have come to know and to believe the <mark style=\"background-color:#cfbaf0\" class=\"has-inline-color\">love<\/mark> that God has for us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:#ffcfd2\" class=\"has-inline-color\">God is love<\/mark>, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17 By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.
